The main active ingredients of Cnidium chinensis extract include pinene, camphene, bornyl isovalarate, isoborneol, osthole, and cindimine, Cnidiadin (cnidiadin), different saxifrage elements (isopimpinelline) and so on.

Osthole has antispasmodic, hypotensive, antiarrhythmic, immune function enhancing and broad-spectrum antibacterial effects.Warming the kidney and strengthening yang, drying dampness, expelling wind, and killing parasites.For impotence, cold uterus, infertility, cold-damp leukorrhagia, wet nose and low back pain; external treatment of genital eczema, vulva itching in women, and trichomonal vaginitis.Anti-pathogenic microorganisms: Cnidium Fructus has inhibitory effect on Epidermophyton flocculus, Microsporum gypsum, and Microsporum lanoides in test tube.Newcastle virus cultured in chicken embryos can prolong the life of chicken embryos by 6 hours.Cnidium extract (1:2) has a strong killing effect on Trichomonas vaginalis in vitro.
